Artificial intelligence

Artificial intelligence

Despite the development of modern technology, many people still believe that artificial intelligence is something from the future, which can only be seen in films so far. In fact, AI is more common in everyday life than we think. People use it and don’t even know it.

What is known about artificial intelligence?

The term itself was first introduced in 1956. It was then that the first developments began in the United States, which interested the government. Artificial intelligence is the most advanced technology based on learning machines and creating such programs that already have a “mind” close to human abilities.

AI is in demand in many areas of activity, but it is especially needed by those who are engaged in programming. For example, when creating algorithms for solving complex problems, developers spend a huge amount of time, because they have to process large amounts of information. And even if you create code that allows you to process a lot of data, it will be quite difficult to use it for a number of reasons. That is why special attention is paid to the development and improvement of AI. After all, if you manage to teach the machine programming, this will significantly speed up all the computing processes.

Where is artificial intelligence being used now?

As already mentioned, some people believe that they have never encountered artificial intelligence, but, in fact, it happens every day. Back in 2011, AI was buzzed as an important technology after a supercomputer was able to beat two experienced gamers on a TV quiz show. After that, the study and training of AI began to devote more time and money in many companies. And now in real life it is very easy to meet with artificial intelligence.

Artificial intelligence

Mail

Almost every user has email. And all of us, when using the Internet, subscribe to various mailing lists or simply leave our personal data. All promotional emails end up in the Spam folder thanks to artificial intelligence that performs sorting.

Social media

Many social networks use artificial intelligence for the comfort of users. It allows you to select potentially suitable friends and communities. In addition, on some social networks, AI scans for suspicious messages in which a person may express thoughts of suicide or committing illegal acts.

Search networks

When a user starts typing a query in the browser’s search bar, they are automatically offered the appropriate options. Yes, this is also the work of artificial intelligence. As well as messages about traffic jams or accidents in Google.Maps.

Recommendations

If the user is registered in any online store and has already bought something there or just looked, then in the future he will be shown recommendations based on preferences. This work is also done by AI. With it, users receive recommendations in social networks and various applications.

All this is only a small part of the scope of AI. It is used in banking programs to notify you when bills need to be paid or to investigate suspicious activity. Also, artificial intelligence is responsible for managing aircraft, machines, and complex equipment. It is constantly evolving and improving. Therefore, every year AI intelligence will be increasingly introduced into the daily life of a person. And, quite possibly, in a few years it will look like pictures from films about the future.
